Why It Is Up To The Church?

Dec 10, 2020

We have seen one of the most screwed up years I can remember. However, in all of this, we must keep our hope in God. With that said, what if I told you that God has put His trust in His Church? We desire to believe that the Lord is going to turn things around, He is also looking at us to get to work. The Church has slowly been duped into online meetings, great teachings, and social activity. However, bring up the responsibility for the Church to get out and change the world, and you will get push back.

The trend is to believe that online meetings are the same thing as being together. You know the Scripture. If two or three of you gather online, I will be online with you. Satan is not afraid of online gathers, Christian think tanks, and social media pages. Satan fears a Christian who takes God's presence from the closet of the Secret Place to the lost and hurting. This is mostly because we still don't understand the anointing and how to work with Him, the One who anoints us. We are more likely slanted to gain social media followers than to disciple people in their calling.

Another trend is that we think the Holy Spirit is on demand. We can have Him when we want, and He will come when we switch to His station. It's hidden, but you can find His channel on Youtube or Netflix. In thirty years now, I have learned one essential thing. It is that I am not God. This means that God is not sitting around all day waiting for me to get up and ask for something, so He has something to do.

God sent His Son to bring things back to the proper order. Man under God, not under Satan. He did this through a series of Covenants and then solidified everything when the Son completed His work here.

Why are we so afraid to go out and share our faith? Why is it that everyone readily declares that they are not an evangelist? We are to be equipped with all the five-fold equipment. No one ever told me as I was growing up in the Church that winning souls was for other people. We all were to do the work of evangelism.

Yes, I will admit, some are Evangelists, and they have powerful platforms. Those platforms are something spectacular to behold. However, my experience has always left me speechless when I lead someone to the Son of Glory and the Heavenly Father. It is the greatest thing I do and has the most significant impact on culture because one person can be disciplined and trained.

I find it interesting how easy we walked past sinners without and thought of eternity. When the Church gains revelation in a new area, it often forsakes the old things as non-essentials. "Why God is not talking about that at this moment," they might say. This is true that the Lord might not be talking about evangelism, but it could also be true we have no desire to listen.

When it comes to the secret place, I wonder how many people remember the Prophet Isaiah?

Is. 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:
"Whom shall I send,
And who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me."

This is one of the great encounters in Scripture. The Lord is seated on His throne, and the His robe fills the temple. Isaiah's response to the Lord's question, "Whom shall I send?" It was not to let me pray about it and give you a list. Instead, Isaiah stood waving his hands up in the air. Hey, look over here; here I am, send me. I wonder how much of our prayer time fills up with sending me. We have to understand that the Encounter's purpose with God is to prepare us for the work. I don't care what five-fold calling it is, but it will all involve winning the lost. How do I know that? Jesus told five-hundred people on the mountain to go and make disciples of the nations.

Matt. 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Matt. 28:20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

The Great Commission has never changed; we did. Let me tell you how we got snake bit here. During Covid, almost all the Churches survived by going online. This has caused many to believe that online is where we should be all the time. However, that is the plan of the enemy. God's people have always risked everything to gather together. It is why the First Amendment of the Constitution states that we have a right to assemble.

You can do a lot of things online, but you cannot do the Kingdom thoroughly. You have to go into the highways and byways as commanded of the Lord. Together, we will go out and shake the world with the power of God, giving a great witness to the resurrection. Do you want to join me? I am convinced that I can teach online, but I cannot disciple. Discipline takes my time and requires proximity. Think of a surgeon. You can learn a lot about medicine; however, you cannot cut into me unless I know someone has trained you. There are just some fields that take a hand to hand training. The Kingdom is one of those things.

It is hard to explain to some people, but you get to abide in the mentor's anointing as you learn when trained in the Kingdom. I have done this with five different fathers, leaders, and mentors in my life. I am not saying forget the online placements altogether. They are instrumental, and Paul would have used them to his advantage. Just don't forget the cry of His heart.

Rom. 1:11 For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established—
Rom. 1:12 that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

Yes, we can pray online and speak many things, but laying on of hands is difficult. Winning souls is complicated as well because they usually don't join our channels. So what are we going to do to move forward?

1. We must continue to develop our online strategies.
2. We must throw our names in the ring every day. Here I am, Lord. Send me.
3. Work as it depends on God because it does. If He is not with us, we labor in vain.
4. Be willing every day to do His work. He will lay it before you.
5. Be purposeful to do His will. Be intentional. Don't be passive. Pray for it every day.

If we do these things, we will make progress. We will see the lost come to Christ, and the power of God manifest in the streets. Momentum will build, and God's glory will come in like waves of light. The Father will choose you to work His power through. You are now on the frontlines as there are no back seats these days. Be of good courage and trust in the Lord. He has put His trust in you.
